Shams: Mike Budenholzer, two NBA assistants top list of prospective Nets head coaches

Hours after NetsDaily reported that the Brooklyn Nets head coaching search was well underway and that Joe Tsai has been engaged in the process. Shams Charania reported in The Athletic that Mike Budenholzer, who led the Milwaukee Bucks to the NBA title three years ago, along with NBA assistants Jordi Fernandez of the Kings and Kevin Young of the Suns are “among the finalists” for head coaching position vacated in February when the Nets dismissed Jacque Vaughn.

However, the same league sources who spoke with ND earlier in the day about the search say while the field may be narrowing, there are others beyond the three “finalists” Shams identified.
