Dodgers News: Odd Scoring Change Nullifies Tyler Anderson’s Near No-Hitter

Tyler Anderson pitched the game of his life last week. With the Dodgers facing off against the Angels, Anderson came so close to pitching a no-hitter. That was spoiled in the 9th inning when Shohei Ohtani laced a triple down the rightfield line to break it up.

But as it turns out, it seems like it wouldn’t have mattered anyway. It’s not often that there is a scoring change after a game, especially this late. But the game between the Dodgers and Angels had an official change issued this week.

The play in question came on a ball that was ruled an error on Tyler Anderson Jared Walsh hit a little bleeder down the first base line which was going to be a tough play for Anderson in the 7th inning.
