Patrick Bailey’s dominant defense in his rookie season has made him a finalist for the Rawlings National League Gold Glove Award for catcher, announced earlier today.

In last week’s review of Bailey’s season, I dismissed his dreadful September at and behind the plate as the result of fatigue and focused on the positive numbers and vibes he provided the team through mid-August.
