The Virginia Tech Hokies entered spring practice over the 85 scholarship limit. The Hokies knew some tough decisions would need to be made after spring practice, and those tough decisions began on Wednesday.
Four players entered the NCAA transfer portal on Wednesday — and all were members of Virginia Tech’s 2023 recruiting class:
- OL Gabriel Arena: 6-foot-5, 280, Harrisburg, Pa.
- RB Tralon Mitchell: 6-foot-0. 209, Middlesex, N.C.
- QB Dylan Wittke: 6-foot-1, 201, Buford, Ga.
- S Antonio Cotman: 6-foot-2, 193, Richmond, Va.
With the moves, by our count, the Hokies now sit at 84 scholarships, meaning they can add a player from the portal.
